THE ECOLOGICAL APPROACH

We are all three sensitive to environmental issues and our impact on this beautiful planet Earth, which must be preserved at all costs.
So inevitably, this principle also followed us in this project, whether during the renovations of the accommodation, but also in rental uses, or even on the selection of products made available to our tenants.
We do not shout loud and clear that our way of doing things is ideal or perfect, but we try to do the best, if only with small daily gestures, in order to limit our ecological impacts.

RENOVATIONS

GIVE A SECOND LIFE
Nous avons rénové la totalité du logement tout en voulant conserver un maximum de matériaux déjà présents, tels que les poutres en bois, le plancher à l’étage, la voûte en pierre, les fenêtres en bois… afin de leur donner une seconde vie. Le portail extérieur est d’origine également, il a été modifié pour permettre une ouverture plus facile de la porte.

REINFORCE INSULATION
We put double glazing on the windows while keeping their original wooden frame. The large canopy is also all double glazing. However, we had to replace the original one which was much too damaged to be kept.
We also insulate the floor, exterior walls and ceilings to limit thermal bridges.

USE OF NATURAL MATERIALS
We have done our best to avoid the use of highly processed materials such as plastic, and favor natural stone, travertine, wood, iron...

LIMIT THE CONSUMPTION
The accommodation is fully equipped with low consumption LED bulbs.
We have also limited the temperature of the hot water tank to 60°C to avoid unnecessary overheating, and we have set up a scheduler so that the tank only operates during off-peak hours.

PRODUCTS' SELECTION

FAVOR ORGANIC, RECYCLABLE,
NATURAL PRODUCTS

ENCOURAGE THE LOCAL
(as possible)

We are rigorous in the selection of products that we make available to our tenants.

Consumable products are mainly organic, and therefore more responsible.
A votre disposition, vous trouverez par exemple le café “Terramoka”, an organic coffee roasted in France. It is a coffee of excellence, ethical and eco-responsible. The capsules are 100% compostable. A small box is made available to you to recycle them. Herbal teas and teas are also organic!

For cleaning, we try to use natural products, which require little or no processing, also avoiding chemicals, such as black soap, household vinegar... or even ecological or eco-labelled products. Some products such as laundry are purchased in bulk to limit packaging.

We are also committed to reducing our carbon impact while favoring local or French players.
For example, you will find in the accommodation the scents and candles " Durance " (made in Grignan) and eco-refillable organic shower soaps and shampoos "La Savonnette” (Annecy).
We also tell you in our welcome booklet, some good addresses to stock up on fresh and local products!

SMALL GESTURES

Every little gesture counts! We are counting on you, to register in this process, and to make our beautiful duplex an eco-responsible accommodation.

SOME TIPS FOR SAVING ENERGY

Turn off lights after use
Use heavy equipment outside peak hours (between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.)
Avoid leaving equipment in standby mode
Unplug inactive devices
Air dry laundry
Open hallway doors and windows at night if possible to cool rooms

SOME TIPS TO REDUCE YOUR WATER CONSUMPTION

Turn off the tap when brushing your teeth
Washing fruits and vegetables in a basin of water saves up to 6l/day. This water can be used for watering plants.
Take quick showers
Use short programs for devices
Avoid letting water run unnecessarily
