SEASONS AND EVENTS

• The Flowering roses : from May and for a few weeks/months depending on the variety.
  Grignan brings together some 400 roses, of 150 different varieties, offering an astonishing diversity of shapes, colors and scents, thus accompanying visitors in their discovery of the village.
• The Lavender flowering : mid June to mid July.
  One of the most beautiful times of the year: the purple colors come to dress the landscape, and give it this particular and characteristic smell!
• Le Festival de la correspondance : The 27th edition of the Festival will take place from July 4 to 8, 2023 on the theme "Letters of love and hate".
• Fêtes Nocturnes de Grignan : From June 23 to August 19, 2023.
  Love, money and comedy. On the bill for the Fêtes Nocturnes at the Château de Grignan this summer: the Miser (Molière) directed by Jérôme Deschamps.
• Harvest : usually around the beginning of September!
• The harvest of the black truffle : it starts at the end of November, lasts 4 months… and brings together many enthusiasts.
  There are many truffle markets in the region! During this period, you will find in particular that of Richerenches, one of the most famous!

ACTIVITIES

• Due to its location, Grignan is ideal for country walks, along the truffle or lavender fields.  
• You have access from the village to marked mountain bike trails for all levels, which will make you discover the bucolic landscapes and the small surrounding villages. 
• The visit of the castle of Grignan is a must. It will seduce you with its architecture and its Renaissance style, and you can retrace its history through a visit, simple or guided. The view from the courtyard is also worth the detour, you can access it for a few euros. 
• In the heart of the village is the house of the printer Colophon, composed of  printing and writing museum, of a typography workshop (still active) and a bookstore. 
• The Durance workshops are located in the industrial zone North of Grignan. Come and discover their know-how through their creations: scents, candles, creams... 
• The Grignan swimming pool will allow you to refresh yourself in the summer season (opening July-August). It is located at the entrance of the village, next to the campsite.
• The Grignan Equestrian Center also offers walks in summer.
  
  Do not hesitate to go to the tourist office, it is close to the accommodation…

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

We recommend some good addresses of restaurants that we like, there are of course other establishments that you may like, there is a wide choice to celebrate in Grignan! 

• L’Heureux hazard (2 place Sévigné, Grignan) will seduce you with its inventive cuisine combining freshness and terroir, its beautiful shaded terrace and its very good value for money. Menus 21 to 35€.
• Le Pied de la lettre (7 montée du tricot, Grignan), is a friendly wine/tapas bar.
• La Maison Nalda (4 rue d’or, Grignan) is also an address to remember. Recently opened, this restaurant offers creative seasonal, organic and local dishes. Single menu 24 to 31€. 
• Le Poème (Rue Saint-Louis, Grignan) is a small gourmet restaurant, which offers seasonal cuisine inspired by Provence. Menus 47 to 79€. 
• Le Clair de Plume (2 place du mail, Grignan), a michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant in Grignan, invites you on an elaborate taste journey. This restaurant was recently decorated with the green star. Menus €165 to €240. You can also enjoy the breakfast prepared in the old kitchen of the establishment for 25€ (reservation recommended).
• Le Sévigné (2 Place Sévigné, Grignan) is a bistro bar, which offers a dish of the day and a few simple dishes, lunch and dinner (summer period). The shaded terrace is very pleasant in summer, to come and sip a cold drink or come and taste the local beer (La Comtesse).
• La Marquise (9 Place Sévigné, Grignan) is a small restaurant that offers take-out meals, which can be very practical! Pizzas, Burgers, Gratins of ravioli… are on the menu. Fries and burger buns are homemade. 
  
  Do you want to prolong the evening and dance a little?
• Le Cabaré (1000 route de Valréas Lieu- Dit la petite Tuilière) will fully meet your needs (closes at 2am). It's the perfect place to go and drink a good cocktail with friends, or wiggle your hips on the dance floor. In summer, a large terrace welcomes you, and you can also eat.

• La ferme du Colombier (chemin des paluds, Grillon) offers you all year round organic seasonal fruits and vegetables, eggs and poultry. 
• L’épicerie Saveurs du terroir (rue du grand faubourg, Grignan), offers you a nice choice of local products, meat, cheeses, wines, beers, aperitif products etc.
• La ferme Rambaud (380 Le Bessas, Grignan) offers its production for direct sale from the farm: vegetables, preserves, jams, wine and lavender (essential oils, bouquets and derived products).
• La boutique du Clair de Plume (5 Place du Jeu de Ballon, Grignan) : idéale pour un bon gâteau !
• A good ice cream? We advise you to the Boudoir (4 Rue Sous les Remparts, Grigan) or l’Atelier de Denis (5 rue d’or, Grignan).
• Le marché on tuesday morning (Place du mail, Grignan) is also a great way to eat locally.
• L’Intermarché de Grignan (900 Rte de Montélimar, Grignan) is also a great store, you will find many organic and local products there.
• You will also find in Grignan a pharmacy, many small shops of clothes, a tobacco press…

• Charging stations for electric cars are available at the entrance to Grignan (120 Chemin de Bessas) or at the Intermarché mentioned above.
